I offer competitively priced assessment and speech and language therapy treatment to pre-school and primary school aged children.
Some of these difficulties may include:
Children who have poor understanding of language: (Difficulty in comprehending vocabulary, sentences or instructions.)
Children who have poor expressive speech: (Limited vocabulary, poor grammar, short sentences.)
Children with unclear speech: (Oral and verbal dyspraxia, phonological awareness, processing problems, speech delay, speech disorders.)
Children with attention and listening difficulties: (Poor eye-contact, fidgeting, unable to follow instructions.
Children with language disorder: (Difficulty with comprehension, vocabulary, sentences or instructions. .
Children who have dyslexia. (Weaknesses may be in the area of speed of processing, short-term memory, organisation, sequencing, spoken language and motor skills. There may also be difficulties with auditory or visual perception.)
Children who have difficulty with writing: (This includes incorrect
letter formation, inability to produce joined-up writing, poor
spelling, sentence construction and /or story writing.)
Children who have problems with reading: (Unable to break down words into syllables, difficulty in understanding what they are reading, a dislike of books.)
Children who have a specific difficulty with maths: (Difficulty with areas of maths including counting, fractions, problem solving, carrying out mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, dividing and multiplication.)
